Level 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed
Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Meet the Leominster Team Behind Level Two Chimney Leominster
Our crew lives in the same neighborhoods we sweep. We’ve worked on chimneys in Leominster’s Monument Hill historic district, the newer builds off Route 117, and the triple-deckers near downtown that still burn wood through January. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s that every one of us has stood in a customer’s living room, explained what the camera showed, and handed over photos before anyone asked. Corrine Halstead built this team on that habit. It hasn’t changed since 2009.
Our People
Corrine Halstead, Owner
Corrine started Level Two Chimney in Leominster in 2009 after six years as a chimney technician in Worcester County. She holds CSIA certification and NFPA 211 Level 2 inspection credentials, though she’ll tell you the certification that mattered most was learning to read a flue with a flashlight before camera rigs got affordable. Corrine still runs the camera on complex inspections herself, especially when a liner looks suspicious or a smoke chamber needs parging. She keeps a file of “greatest hits” - photos of chimneys where the previous cleaner clearly used a broom handle and good intentions, then called it swept. Her rule for the team: name the part, name the problem, name the price, document everything. She lives in Leominster with two dogs who have zero respect for her authority.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus joined us in 2017 after ten years in masonry restoration around Fitchburg and Gardner. He’s the technician we send when a crown is spalling, a cricket needs rebuilding, or someone in South Leominster has a historic chimney that hasn’t been opened since the 1980s. Marcus holds CSIA certification and specializes in HeatShield cerfractory flue repair - the resurfacing system for smoke chambers and flues with minor deterioration. His human detail: he restores vintage motorcycles in a garage near Lake Whalom and applies the same patience to a cracked flue liner that he does to a 1974 Honda carburetor. Customers mention him by name in callbacks. We track that.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana runs our liner and cap installations across Worcester County, including the stainless steel relining jobs we do when clay tile flues have shifted or cracked beyond spot repair. She’s factory-trained on DuraFlex and Olympia Chimney systems, and she’s installed Gelco caps in Leominster, Lunenburg, and Fitchburg during ice dam seasons when water intrusion destroys an unprotected crown. Dana started as an apprentice in 2014, worked her way to lead installer, and now trains our newer crew on proper termination height and clearance to combustibles - the details that pass inspection and keep houses standing. She grew up in a house with a wood stove in Westminster and still splits her own cordwood. That matters when she’s explaining draft behavior to a customer who’s never operated anything but a gas insert.
Jesse K., Service Coordinator
Jesse answers the phones, schedules the routes, and sends the text alerts when your technician is en route - the “Arrive on schedule” piece of the H.A.V.E.N. system. He’s been with Level Two Chimney since 2019 and knows which Leominster neighborhoods have narrow driveways that won’t fit the full rig, which houses near Monoosnoc Brook need extra time set aside for older flue configurations, and which customers want their photos emailed versus printed. Jesse coordinates our Free Second Opinion program: when someone brings us a competitor’s written estimate, he logs it, assigns the technician, and makes sure we deliver our own written scope and price within 48 hours. He coaches youth hockey in Lancaster. The scheduling discipline shows.
Alex P., Apprentice Technician
Alex started with us in 2023 after completing the chimney technology program at a vocational school in central Massachusetts. They’re working toward CSIA certification under Dana’s supervision and currently handle standard sweeps, basic inspections, and camera documentation on straightforward single-flue systems. Alex has already developed a specialty: identifying Class III glazed creosote buildup in Leominster’s older neighborhoods where homeowners burn unseasoned oak or run wood stoves overnight on low draft. They grew up in a house near North Leominster where the chimney hadn’t been swept in fifteen years. Alex found that out the hard way and decided to fix the problem from the inside. They’re learning fast. We document every job they touch until they’re cleared to sign off solo.
One Standard, Every Job

Level Two Chimney Leominster is independently owned and operated under the Haven Standard, the operating framework Corrine Halstead helped develop in 2009. That means Clause 1 applies here the same way it applies across the network: a written price, a written scope, and a written warranty before any work starts. Clause 4 requires the photo record we include on every visit - not optional, not extra. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every technician on this page. If Marcus rebuilds your crown and it leaks, we make it right. If Dana’s liner installation has a draft issue, we return. No separate entities, no passing blame. The Haven Standard was built because Corrine got tired of watching customers get handed surprise invoices and vague promises. Our crew in Leominster operates under that standard because they wouldn’t work any other way.
